The deadline for registering to vote in this year’s local election is coming up fast. The Board of Elections must receive new registration forms by this Friday, October 14th. Even if you are already registered to vote, please take a moment to think about others in your family, especially children who have recently turned 18. You can download a registration form online.
With the election only four weeks away, this is also a good time to think about whether you or anyone in your household might need an absentee ballot. Voting absentee is a two-step process: first you fill out and send in an application for an absentee ballot, then you receive and submit the ballot itself. You can download an application online.
